Hi, I am new to this board and wanted to ask a question about a 4.5HP Mercury outboard. When it idles it is fine but when I try to go full throttle it boggs down and will stall unless I bring the throttle position back to idle. Could this be the fuel pump? It is a vacuum type that runs off of the motor. The serial number of this motor is 4759549 and it is a single cylinder with forward neutral and reverse. I am guessing it is from the early '80's. Could someone tell the year of it by the serial number? Also where could I get parts for it? Thanks in advance for any help.
