Michael McDonald...AntiChrist? <br /><br />Just saw (for the 10,000th time) a commercial for One Note Michael's Holiday CD (free if you buy $10 worth of garbage at Hallmark or something like that) and got to wondering.....<br /><br />Michael McDonald.....truly the AntiChrist ..... or just Michael Bolton with a piano?<br /><br />He career accomplishments......sang a little backing vocals on a couple Steely Dan songs, turned the Doobie Brothers into pablum trash, monotoned through a horrid MCI commercial, released the lamest CD cover of Motown classics in history...interesting musical technique....just hold your nose and sing as loud as you can from the back of your throat.<br /><br />Tough call.<br /><br /><br />__________________

For how he trashed the Doobie Brothers, I think that calling him the antichrist is a bit too forgiving. <br /><br />I agree though. His voice is like fingernails on the proverbial chalkboard to me. I'd rather scoop the kitty-litter box than hear Michael McDonald.

I dunno though...I wonder how he sounds going through one of those big shredders they use to clean up tree trimmings.<br /><br />I meant I just don't like to hear him sing.

I duuno what all the worry about my pic is <br /><br />That was my Senior Class pic from High School (I was a little behind the rest of my class) and most people think it's one of the better pics of me, a little dated perhaps, but still a good pic.

Michael McDonald is ok. I like the sound of the original doobies but since the lead singer killed himself not much chance of that happening. <br /><br />With McDonald, one song sounds like them all. And the christmas album is really bad. Like he is loosing it.

I pulled his siteup and it has a streaming song on it, winter something. I can see he's going downhill. Its the 70s and 80s stuff I like.

I hear ya Bomar. Sometimes I wish someone would take mine. I told her if she wants to cheat that it would be fine with me. Make sure her lover grabs a few of the bills as he's leaving too though.
