Michigan wheel XHS system as spare prop

I'm looking at getting a spare prop for my Yamaha F150 and all the local boat stores sell the Michigan XHS system. <br /><br />The local prop shop will make a prop for me (Yamaha hub,Merc Prop) but it ends up being about $50 more than the XHS.<br /><br />For a prop that will see little use is there any big advantage to a "regular" prop,vs the XHS?

Never consider a spare for anything as a second rate item (especially on the water), whether car tire, batteries or prop. When you might have to call on the spare for duty, it might have to suffer the same conditions as the primary item. Find a good used prop for a spare.
