What's happened? Did I do something wrong?. Oil in crank case is clear. Why is milky oil coming out of pcv at rocker covers? How serious is this? Can someone please HELP! Never seen this before. Had only been running on muffs after changed water pump in drive. Now very hard to start and rpm low.

may just be condensation build up from short run time (oil needs to get hot to "burn off")

What is the engine temperature after operating the engine for thirty minutes under a load?

Possibly condensation or blow-by. See it a lot on high mileage automobiles.

Just running on cold water and muffs for short time in drive-way. No load, just idle, for maintenance purposes. I don't think got up to normal operating temp. Just off/on for short periods. Checked compression and is OK. Spark plugs are dry black not oily. Fuel pressure seems OK. Don't know why now hard to start and cannot go over 5-600 rpm when I throttle, then after short time dies. Drained tank and added fresh fuel before first starting. Boat was not started for the last 2 seasons. everything seemed ok until I put drive back on and ran on muffs. When I first started it up just hose to water inlet on bell housing. What can be causing all this now?

If it hasn't been run in a couple years the carb may be all funked up and have some clogged passages. I'd check out the carb and replace the plugs. How does the spark look? Nice strong blue or weak orange?

I had this happen at the valve covers. The issue was caused by a faulty thermostat. Make sure your engine gets warmed up at the right temp.
