There is an upper weep hole in front of the leg. Same void as where the water pump is. Appears to be a milky oil drip from it after I run my Motor. Not a lot only a few drops come out of it. Any guesses as to what or where it originates from?

Absolutely normal. Remember that oil you put in the gas? Well, every drop of it goes through the engine, some of it burns (makes smoke) and the rest goes out the exhaust where it mixes with discharged hot water from the cooling system. It emulsifies, and runs out various drain holes to make you worry about it.....so don't

Good. Sorry I am so new to this outboard thing. Been around two stroke dirt bikes and I/O stern drives all my life. But combining a two stroke motor on a propeller is new to me. Sure am having a blast with it tho. Thank you all so much for the help.

I would say that you have an oil leak from the seals under the waterpump. The water pump area and the exhaust are separate. Milky oil from the prop would be normal, not from the weephole in the lower unit. I would simply check the lower unit with pressure and vacuum. All it will cost you is the lower unit oil and the cost of the tool.

Have a smell of the oil, if its smells like gear oil then thats a problem. Rub it in your fingers to accentuate the smell.

Also undo the gearboxs top drain plug and check the condition and level of the oil. A good test to do on any outboard. Its the plug which is a flat head, dont ever undo the philips head screw unless you want to cause yourself a lot of work.

How about telling us make model and year of the motor?

Re: Milky oil drip from upper weep hole.

If the weep hole is near the front of the drive (closest to the boat) and up about midway, then it is a water drainage weep hole. It will be directly connected to the area under the water pump. The exhaust will not be put into the water pump area because of the possibilities of blowing the water out of the pump. So logically, that oil is coming from the seals under the water pump. I see this a lot. The seals get old and stiff and no longer seal the driveshaft. Alternatively the drive shaft gets grooves in it and can no longer seal. I am assuming this is a higher horsepower engine.

OK, ,now that we've beat this to death, where is the Original Poster? We still don't know what we are working on. Or where he is running it. If in a tank, oil and water from the barrel will come out of the water pump area when shut down.

C'mon OP, a little info please. Otherwise we are wasting our time.
