Minn Kota powerdrive - bad bearing?

Hi all, so I got a new powerdrive, and I notice when I spin the prop by hand it doesn't spin smoothly - kind of jars as I spin it around either way. Motor seems to run fine, but shouldn't it spin consistently without any friction in part of the rotation?

Nope! Your motor is perfectly fine. You are feeling the action of the magnets in the motor as each pole of the armature passes.
