Re: Minnesota Boat Nectar

Yep! I just found one of those stations near me in Vancouver WA. They had both regular and premium at about a 15% premium. I just stopped by there yesterday and they said they won't have premium again until the middle of November.

I filled up my work van and will check the mileage. I have a Toyota Van as well and when we had seasonal ethanol, that van would lose about 75 miles to the tank. When spring came and they removed the ethanol, the mileage would go right back up to normal.

This will be great to put in the boat at the end of the season and in my 65 Mustang that gets very little use.

Just had a Marathon open near me....will check it out.

They are a US based company with headquarters in Findlay Ohio.
They do not buy oil from other countries!:D

I used to just see them in the Ohio area but glad they are expanding.
My Father run a Marathon station up north for years back in the 70's and 80's.
I met the President a couple years ago when i was doing Nascar Promotions.
They were a sponsor on the car i was hauling.
Nice guy,he remembered my father from years ago when they only had a few stations.
I have his personal email....;) Just a little trivia on the company but good people!

Do a google search on "non oxygenateed gasoline" or similar. There are several web sites out there that have lists of gasoline sellers that offer this type of fuel. Thankfully, there are several near my house.

There's one by my house but is so busy, I'd never attempt to get a boat in there. Unfortunatly I do 99% of my boating up in northern mn where you'd think all the stations would have it but don't. Quite frankly I don't know that I'd see any benefit since I am filling up ever other day and the gas never sits except over the winter.

We have several with those stickers here (Grand Rapids) but you have to look! The Holiday 2 blocks from me used to have it, but quit sometime this summer. They said the Holiday up town still has it (and they probably do) but if I'm going up town, I'll go to Jim's BP where I buy the rest of my gas. Now the truck stop in Swan River is a BP, but they DON"T have ethanol free premium.

I usually buy BP Silver for both my Jeep (5.7 hemi) and my wife's Grand Cherokee (4.7 V-8). It's acutally a 50/50 blend of regular and Gold, so I get half the ethanol.

Re: Minnesota Boat Nectar

This is good information...in my area there is no option but E10. Interesting how it is o.k. for aircraft to be exempt due to fuel system damage by the moisture-dragging ethanol, but boats have to suffer the consequences.

There should be some alternative, at least for winter storage, to permit the use of non-blended gasoline.
