Well it seems the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is going to "TRY" to get a 400 million dollar rover on mars today or tomorrow. Since two thirds off all the missions to mars FAIL. What do you guys think will happen? I think this one might work, since it is like the original Mars rover. Lets see what you guys think.

I think it will work!

I feel terrible for the Brittish, they can not come in contact with there rover.

Re: Mission to MARS!

There is suppose to be traces of water on mars. If there is water there can be life. Seems they would have had a better window last summer when mars was the closest to earth in over 6000 years. If they want to save time and money they can Hypnotise Spinner Bait Nut. I am sure during his abduction he saw a good portion of mars. :)

If they find water - then we found another place to go boating! "Hey honey, grab the rods, I'll hitch up the boat, we're gonna visit SBN and do some fishin' on Mars. I am sure he will tell us where the good spots are!"

what a colossal waste of money IMO... there are
so many more important things we could spend it
on.

I don't see it as a waste of money. If you want to know what a waste of money is, look no further than the bloated salaries of sports figures. I doubt we'll be colonizing anytime soon, but it is in our nature to explore and find out where things come from. Besides, all the technology created for the space program and military use always trickles down. We owe most of our day to day living to that waste of money. Plus, we'll finally get proof that Jesus was in fact an astronaut and his body was taken by the rescue team after he was crucified... :D

Re: Mission to MARS!

Ya' know guys.....it just blows my mind when I think of what can be out there. Humans by nature need to know.....everything. Although it's true we don't even know all there is to know about good ol' mother Earth....we know even less about what's "out there". Yea I'm a space freak. Love all the stuff that comes up new. Hey....what can I say....I'll be with aspeck haulin' the shaker ta' Mars for some new type boatin'. :D :D

In 2006 it's supposed to return the samples to earth..

The plan is for the thing to crash land somewhere in Utah... Watch out iboats!...

I saw where they're dropping this rover incased in a ball which will bounce real close to a supposed dry lake. This Rover will be able to core into the dry lake and be able to send back immediate info whether or not there was at any time water in this lake bed. I didn't see how this the rover was to get out of this ball.

Re: Mission to MARS!

awww, come on MY, its just a little space program. it only requires a thousand or so of your tax dollars :D

no, really, i'm all for space exploration. its just the way things go, we always expand our horizons, and if we don't do it, someone else will. heck, we pay out the yang for it, but would you rather some other cntry find out there's treasure 'in them thar hills?' :)

as far as i understand, they sent 2 rovers, and they have way more capability than the last one (missing BTW). i would love to hear they found the old one, and it has a SLoad of info that helps pay for the $$$ spent already. just my 2c
