Mobil 1 full synthetic gear oil

I bought a quart to put in my lower unit. It's 75 W 90 weight. Has anyone used this and any benifits or drawbacks in using synthetic gear oil?

You can certainly use it and It will be great. It will protect better in every way. Just make sure your not using it in an electric shift model. Thats a deffinate NO NO.
