My mom has been painting the rental down the street and has been storing cleaning rags in the wheelbarrel along with acetone, cleaning stuff for brushing, empty paint cans, new brushing and stir sticks..
I heard some talking outside and stopped writing on the forum to see what was going on..
Well the wheelbarrel caught on fire.. The rags I guess combusted and set a flame shooting past the renters window.. He put it out, but when she was telling me about it, I can almost hear these famous words from her to me...." Never store any combustable rags in the Barn", "It may cause a fire".. OK mom sounds good to me, being it can get 112 degrees here.. But she thought it wouldn't happen outside in october. I'm going to get a picture of the wheelbarrel.. I haven't seen it yet.. By the way she is a perfectionist, who would believe.. I had a good laugh on her, so now when she gives me a bad time, I can use the old fire in barrel trick right back at her...

I have read about this on warning labels (rags) and even saw this on the news this year.
This isn't what I saw on the news a few months ago but is pretty close.
Be nice to mom ;)

Reno Fire Department investigators have determined the cause of a late night fire that swept through a two-story residence at 3945 Sourdough Circle Wednesday was spontaneous combustion, Fire Marshal Bill Burney said Friday. Burney said extensive investigation revealed the presence of ground cloths that clearly showed the fire originated within the folded or stacked cloths that had been in contact with staining materials used at the house that day.

Thanks JB mom is a special lady.. She works so hard trying to keep this place.. I too... I thought years ago I should of just settled and got married, but then I wouldn't be having fun. I take care or 6 acres and 4 acres are mowing and weedeating plus the ditches also.. Across the street I have access of the neighbors property, that I also take of. Plus the pond upkeep, yards and cutting...That is an extra 50acres to look after.. And you thought I just fished.. Yes, I do it by myself too.. I cut 2 cords of wood last month and I truely thought it would be the death of me.. Now, I'm having my mini vacation..
