alrighty fellow boaters I am brandnew to this world and this site and you all came highly recommended for information. I have cruised some of the past forums for the info and I might have missed it but I have the 7.5 horse seaking and im wondering if it has the impeller on the lower part and should it be " peeing". I see what looks like some intake holes. I will get a model number and some pictures after work to make it easier thanks again guys!

You do have a water pump on that motor, and don't let the cylinder fins fool ya, you need the water pump working. you will see a little oval plate with 2 screws on the side of the leg about halfway down; It covers a shift linkage joint. Pull the plate. remove the screw that connects the linkage, then you can yank the lower unit off. Make sure the shift lever is in neutral when you remove the bolt. The drive shaft will pull out of the splined bore of the crank shaft, and the first thing it goes thru at the lower end is the water pump housing, held on with two bolts.
