76 Johnson 75hp. I changed the jets(orifaces) from sea level to 6000 ft jets as I run my boat at 7000 feet. It ran great for about an hour and now when I push down on the throttle, it'll only go about 3-4 mph then pretty much dies if I give it more gas. Starts and idles fine. In neutral, if I open up the throttle it seems to accelerate normally, but in gear it just bogs down and dies. I've tried different gas tank and smaller prop with same results.

99% contaminated carbs, also if you have not, change all fuel line to alcohol resistant fuel lines. the old lines get soft from ethanol, and sluff off, this gets in the carb bowls and clogs the pickups to the jets. also you need to do a link n sinc, with the new jets.

Thanks for the response! What's a "link n sync" for the jets?

it is a step by step process to coordinate the spark and carbs. i am a sealevel guy, so don't know much about high altitude adjustment.
