My 1988 classic 50 (45hp) starts okay, idles out of the launch area, but when I push the throttle forward i do not get full rpm, the throttle goes forward okay but the motor only runs at 3000 to 4000 rpm, but after a few minutes, it starts to pulse higher, and clears up. sometimes it runs like this all the way to the first fishing hole, but when I restart it to move, it will run fine.
