i have a 1988 vip 15ft. it now has a 1988 50 hp force, i dont like this eng. i also have a 1967 65hp merc on my run about, great little eng, please give your comments on swiching motors.
Normally I would not swap out to that old of a motor, but seeing that your current motor is a Force, I too wouldn't hesitate, if your hull can handle it.
I wouldn't exceed the max hp rating, Dennis.<br /><br />Suggest that you try to swap the Merc (and maybe the Force, too) for a nice JohnnyRude 50HP twin looper.<br /><br />Good luck.
