Hi, First post here, did a search and wasn't able to find the info. Searches are like dictionaries, if you don't know how to ask the question how do you look it up.

Ok the question, I have a Force 125 1988, I pulled the motor off to do some maintenance on the tilt trim. Corrected my issue and I measured the mounting bolt spacing and it seems they are different then the newer outboards. Mine are about 9.5 inches apart and are inline top to bottom. Newer motors are wider apart and not inline. I was gong to install a jackplate to correct the motor for being to low. Are all the Force motors use the same mounting bracket spacing? The jackplate I wanted to get is 16-inches wide, the scuppers on this bayliner are 14 in on center, so they will be blocked. Just seems odd that force would be different then the industry standard. Any suggestions on modifying to newer style?
I can drill the jackplate to the force pattern, and drill the boat to the jackplate pattern, and just remove the scuppers and modify thier external trim. Just hate to reengineer this.
