motor running weak

my johnson 8 is running weak lately
its been stored for a few months i had it out in may and ran great.
i had an old omc fuel can that hadnt been used in 3 years or more. there was a little fuel sloshing around so i emptied most of it and filled it with fresh gas and 2 stroke oil. it seems to smoke alot and i dont think my oil mixture was too high.
any ideas? it dosent really rev max throttle pushs the boat at idle speed
(on a zodiac 12ft full throttle it ran 4mph according to gps

Sounds like you may have lost a cylinder.
Do a basic health check and we can all go from there.
Compression
Spark
Fuel delivery
Plug condition

If your unsure about the gas, replace it. You should check your spark to each plug as will. If all is good I would look to the carb. as the next possible solution. Best of luck. Rick.

changed the gas tank out
runs a fair amount better but not 100%
i have to change/clean the plugs i suppose
