Motorguide trolling motor

I want to replace a 1997 Minnkota 64lb. Autopilot with a Motorguide 765 bow mount trolling both units I believe are 24 volts besides the mounting of the units itself my question is all I should have to do is replace the power end on the motorguide unit. It has the plug in at the bow. The boat is a 1992 Ranger 681 Fisherman with all the controls on the bow and it has a 3 bank charger.
Any help that someone could give me would be apprecaited.Thank You.

Remove the plug from the old motor and install it on the new one. All you need to pay attention to is that the +12 and ground wires get back onto the same terminals on the plug. No other changes are necessary.
