motorguide trolling motor

hey guys,
I was out on the water yesterday and when i dropped the trolling motor in the water it would not turn left or right and the arrow on top of the trolling motor kept spinning around. What should i do. Im going out tommorow afternoon hopefully i can get advice on how to solve this problem so i can get out on the water tomorow.

sounds like the Allen screws loosened up on the shaft.
This happened to me a few years ago.

If i remember right your going to take the cover off the top of the motor and you will find a couple of allen screws. Make sure your arrow is orientated and your control is centered. Lock down the screws. i did not use any locktite etc and still have not had another problem years down the road. If it's not centered you can adjust.
Take a look there first IMO
