I have seen outboard mounting brackets for both on swim platforms and on Transoms. My Concern is if under the swim platform, will the engine be swimming when under main power or coming up on plane. Has anyone else mounted a kicker undr their swim platform? How has it performed... Do you have pictures?

No for Mounting on the Swim Platform, what has the stress been like with a 9.9 or 15hp sitting on it? I will need the hp as my boat is a 26 Thudercraft.

Welcome to iboats Prairie. Your main problem with mounting under the swim platform will be when coming off the plane... the backwash will drown the kicker.
Someone with experience of your type of boat will have to answer the second part of your question.

Put it on the swim platform and install bracing if needed. You will never be satisfied with it under the swim platform, if you manage to figure out to keep it attacherd to the boat. I think it would be too low in the water and offer way too much drag.
Everybody in this part of the country runs a kicker and they are alway on the platform or on the transom, if a partial swim platform. Never seen one under.

Awesome Thanks Guys. Kind of Thought that the right place was on the Platform. No Need to ask you guys about size... Seems ot be lots of good Opinions on that already.

Wondering if anyone else may have pictures of their kicker mounted on the swim platform. Looking for understanding of the additional bracing that may have been used by others.

My old 27 1/2' flybridge had my 9.9 long shaft mounted on the platform. It was a bit underpowered but got me home a few times. You will probably need a long shaft for your kicker as well.
