I just bought a new 1436 riveted jon boat. I am going to mount a set of oar sockets, and was wondering what kind of screws to use.....or nut and bolt combo. Any tips or advise?
What do you guys do with your oars when not in use?
I searched the web for some sort of oar storage mounts and came up with nothing.
My Jon boat had some primitive home-made (out of stacks plywood) hangers that looked disgusting.
Is there something better out there?

Mount two sets of Beckson holding clips on the top of the seats, or on the side seat brackets if it has them. Perko makes SS spring clamps and hook holders, but I personally like the black plastic ones better.
