My 50hp force wont plane

After hours of work finally got her running great, I changed the lower end dont know where it came from it wont plane,starving for rpm's, she was all wide open tho...what is the proper prop for a 15' bayliner bowrider run about. Thanks Guido

Better yet tell us what prop you have on there and your present max rpm and speed.You might want to double check it is running on both cylinders.
That should get on plane with almost any prop assuming a healthy boat and motor.It might be really slugish and not make rpm but:::

You changed the lower end, did you get one with the same gear ratio?

I took it out again with a 10" pitch prop,still flat on its face, does sound like im loseing a cylinder when i take off, where do i go from here? I was told check the sinc n link? can someone tell me where to go next. its not the prop and it idles ok when i take off no power and it just putts not on plane??? Thanks all for your help. Does it seem to be trying or does it act like its not getting full throttle?
Check that the carb is opening all the way.CAREFULLY Squirt fuel mix into the carb at wot.
Disconnect and carefully ground one plug wire at a time and see if it will run.Try a wot run.If you had the carb off you may heve to check link and sync.Has it ever run right?

Ok, found out that the top coil/pack is not firein,does anyone have a coil/pack all in one for a 1988 50hp force? cant find one here in florida except for $200 new one,dont want to do that if i can help it,is there one from another brand that will work?. Thanks Guido
