Thanks. Too bad I can't get my fingers to the right keys. I did mean to say "Did that ever come back nice" :)

I'd say that the brightener did it's job. I think there is some Cetol natural teak that has iron oxide in it that replaces some of the orange color.

I think I read somewhere that the Starbrite stuff is made not to darken...

I'd say that the brightener did it's job. It will get darker again after it oxidizes but I believe there are other teak oils that give different finishes if you don't want to wait.

Your original response was spelled correctly. Some gremlin changed it when I quoted you.. HMM:confused:

Any how, I wonder if a little oil based stain mixed in with the teak oil would work.. I think ageing turns it more gray and weathered, then dark. rich and finished. And purty:)

That looks awesome bro! Great work. I've been using Cetol on my teak. Lasts forever.

Thx for the compliment! I have heard good things about Cetol as well and plan to give it a try when she needs her wood to be redone again :)

Your boat is georgous!! I have the same 1986, red and black exterior. Working on restoration. Can you help me in terms of sourcing parts for the trim, Thundercraft plastic logo on sides, etc. Any new/used parts I can source if needed.

Thanks.
