S.O.P. for insurance company's.They want your money but they don't like to pay claims.Tell them about your neighbor and that his/her claim was honored and if they won't take care of yours you are dropping them immediately. Sometimes you have to get in their face.Like I said,it's S.O.P. alot of them do the same with auto claims.

File a claim directly against the government body that paid for and authorized the spraying and the company that did tha spraying, and your Citizen Ins company. Take them all to small claims court. They can either pay the claim, or pay for lawyers to go to court.

Most states have an Insurance Commision to regulate insurance companies. Try contacting them with the details of the claim. If no Insurance Commission, try state'a consumer affairs commission.

Re: My claim was denied by Citizen Insurance.

Thanks everyone for getting back to me so soon. My insurance would love to drop me as their customer, so that is out. We plan to contact the Michigan state insurance agency, I think that is the name of the agency. And if that would not work, then we would contact a lawyer. There are about thirty or so pontoon got damaged, the three pontoon that has Citizen insurance got denied. Their reason was they do not cover for corosion or rust, but this is not a natural corosion. This is a man made damages. I know we will get it resolve, but just that our insurance, Citizen, gave us so much problem when it is time for them to paid for a service which we have already paid for. Sorry for the spelling.

Mattt.

MATTT..........If you can prove the state caused the damage, you should present your insurance company with the evidence and have them help you with your claim against the state. By all rights though, they should pay your claim and go after the state who actually and unnaturally caused your damage.
If you were here in Calipornia, you could probably get help from some EnviroNazi organization and go after the state for knowingly polluting the body of water that ruined your water craft.
You might include the maker of the copper laced spray in your claim/suit.
Good luck with your litigation and keep us posted...Bob in Calif...
