I have a 1998 Force 120 and I couldn't start it the other day and I think I flooded it. I tried the flooded eng procedure in the manual to no avail. I probably tried to start it off and on for about ten minutes until the starter and/or battery sounded like they gave up on me. I finally admitted defeat and pulled the boat out of the water and headed home. I noticed a leak down the port side of the drive shaft housing right where it meets with the bottom cowl.:% It looks like foamy chocolate milk - about a quarter size puddle formed on the cavitation plate. Is this terminal?:^

Not terminal. while you were attempting to start your motor the compression caused the fuel pump to pump fuel to the carbs and into the motor however the spark plugs did not burn it so it just leaked out as exhaust into the water and that is the frothy stuff you are seeing. You might want to to a spark test because it appears you are getting gas.

Double-check that dead-man switch. The loop can prevent it from fully engaging if it's the least bit out of place.
