Hey everyone,

It has been a long time. A lot has happened since I was last on the board.

I did move, my house has not sold, I broke my leg, a deer ran into the side of my van and took out everything from the sideview mirror back, and the good news... I finally got a job.

I came in second for the state job I was hoping for, but got a job at the GM dealership. As soon as I accepted the job, I started getting calls from other places I had applied for asking if I was still available.

Anyway, thought I would give you a quick update. I don't have an internet connection at home yet, but maybe after I start my new job, I can afford to get one.

The new job starts Jan 2nd, but may have to be delayed because of the broken leg.

Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words.

P.S. the broken leg and deer accident happened at my old house. It seems like fate is showing me I belong in northern Wisconsin. I have to say it is great living up here. I don't regret moving one bit.​

So was it the best thing that ever happened to you yet?

I've found that to be true for both of the jobs that I've lost.

When Levi's shut down here, they sent me to college for 2 years, paid 6mo. pay even though I wasn't working there anymore, and bought me a new computer. I had only worked there for 91 days when they closed the plant.

The last job I got fired from, and I never really realized how much I hated working there the last few years until I realized that I never had to go back. It was the happiest day in a long time for me. The funny thing is, at lunch on the final day, I actually said to myself, out loud... "God I wish I didn't have to go back there" (in a sarcastic way, not a prayerful way). So, be careful what you wish for, right?

Bad deal on the leg and deer though.
Cool deal on the move also.
That is 1/2 the battle of moving, is if you like where you moved to.

Scoop finish out your 2 weeks. Go Kiss your wife hug your kids and be grateful for what you have. I have seen over the years some things happen to give you a push in the right direction. A good man is always needed and usually are hard to find. Now go twist the top off another one and look foreward to new challenges.
