It's easier to change it with the lower unit inverted. Hard to make it hold like it is. Pull the lower unit and prop it upside down. Then remove the lower half of the gear case. Might want to drain if of lube first to. Use a good gasket sealing compound when you put the spaghetti seal in the slot.
