Re: My motor quest

2011 Tohatsu 9.8. never used this year or last. I guess it still has 2 years of warranty left but dont know their policy. Always fix my own stuff anyway, its just nuts and bolts. Had about 20 hours on it. Couldnt argue because it looked brand new. Took off stand to put wheels on it, will take pic tomorrow. Or you can go to Tohatsu web site and look at the new ones cause you cant tell a difference.
Dealer had one for $50 more with a clam of 2 hours. Looked years older as it had the old style gray cowl with a big scratch down the side.

Here is my used Tohatsu I just purchased and the stand I just built. Glad I didn't order the boat yet. That Azzurro Mare AM365 looks pretty good. Wife saw the wide front bow and said "Get it". She plans on lounging in the sun from there.

Can you provide the details of how you built your stand.
There are a few members here who can benefit from your design?

If your wife wants a wide boat get the 330W

Re: My motor quest

It was made with stuff I had laying around. The main part is from on of those make it yourself sawhorse brackets that I made up about 25-30 years ago. Just added the lumber I had laying around and went from there. Had no plans just started on it when I brought the motor home. Put the motor on just the sawhorse frame and saw it could be unstable then I added the 2x4,s on the bottom. Added the wheels this morning when I figured it wasn't going to move around to easy. They are hard plastic wheels with bearings. Neat part is they slide on the garage floor very easy and it is easy to turn. Oh, I ended up putting a couple of 1 x 3 boards verticle on the 6" mount as I was worried it wasn't supported enough.

Very nice work. You will enjoy that motor and have a good stand to hold it when you flush it out with fresh water.

The Assuro Mare square bow is a better sib option to the standard horrible point bow model, a roomier square bow sib/rib is priceless. Good purchase. Enjoy.

Happy Boating
