My Trim is not working

Hello, I'm new to this so I hope I'm in the right forum. I have a 1982 Crest Pontoon with a 1987 50hp Evinrude VRO (my local Pro Marine shop says its a 1990 but the guy I bouhgt it from swear it's an '87) who knows i can't find anything on it that REALLY tells me the year. I've bought a few parts for it claiming an "87 and everything works fine.
What I need help with is the trim. I have replaced all of the switches in the hood and I hear it clicking just no results. I'm afraid the trim itself is locked up. I am mechanically inclined but I'm not sure how to free the trim so that I can manually lift the motor if and when i get too skinny. Any suggestions would wonderfully appreciated. I see the two drain plugs to add fluid but I can't get the motor to lift AT ALL.
Thanks
Dewey

hey i had the same problem but its been a while since i fixed it, but from i remember theres a big screw on the tilt that you turn and it lets you equalize the presser so you can manually lift it

mmmmm its starting to come back to me know that you said that lol, it was on the side of the trim, theres a little hole that you stick your screw driver into to reach the screw
