Okay, I'll fess up.
When Kenneth pulled into the driveway I was looking for something in my SUV. So I shut the door and went on to meet him and Tyler. We visited for about 30 minutes when I looked around and couldn't find Sam, our dog.
I totally panicked since I had just put a new collar on him and hadn't had time to attach his name tag with our cell numbers numbers on it. He has run off before but that been a long time ago. I went out to the street and called his name and looked around...no Sam.
There were a lot of people down to their weekend places and I just knew if he run off I would never see him again if I didn't find him right away. I got in Mr. LF's truck to go searching for him. Tyler wanted to go with me and it helped having two sets of eyes. We stopped every person we saw outside and asked if they had seen a great big chocolate lab and nobody had. We continued up and down the streets, even as far out as the main road.
I was devestated, crying and really feeling like I would never see him again. We returned home to see if maybe he came back, but he didn't.
So I sat down and continued our visit, trying to remember where he was when Kenneth and Tyler pulled into the driveway. All of a sudden Rod got up and opened the back door of the Sequioa and out jumps Sam. :^ He'd been in there well over an hour. :/
Anyway, we all had a good laugh about it. We truly enjoyed meeting Kenneth and his beautiful and well mannered daughter Tyler. 8)
