im looking for the coupler that connects the two halfs of the shift linkage inside of the motor. and where would be a good place to look for one. the motor is an 1965 60hp evenrude.

Original PN was 303,794 "Connector,shift rd. std" Screws are PN 304024.

Those are standard parts, available through any BRP dealer.

looks like the nearest dealer, is about 100 miles away, and im not going to be up that way till next month sometime.

You can buy it direct from BRP. Go to

Click on Electronic Parts Catalog and follow the prompts to your motor. Except they only go back to 1968. No matter, that part is the same and is also used on a ton of smaller motors.
