The fuel pumps should all be the same, from '78, to 93.

Re: napa fuel pump for 5.7l

i think i might be good, right now iam looking at my original fuel pump side by side with the napa pump, they are the same thing,

now the reason why iam changine mines was because it was making noise the tension spring that holds up the pum leiver was missing, kinda makes it flap a bit. now the new one has the new spring thats why its take some presure to hold it in palse when instaling. the new pum is a carter stamp on the housing is 610737m12A

I am pretty sure 305's and 350's use the same exact fuel pumps.

Yeah, them fuel pumps can be tricky to get compressed, and installed at the same time. Helps to rotate the engine so that the fuel pump lobe isn't as far out. You still have to do some pushing to get the bolt threads started, but it's a heckuva lot easier. ;)

Re: napa fuel pump for 5.7l

update thanks for all the help, afer i took the boat out for a test drive today, engine sound great , when i hit it to go its like the prop was slipping, no go real slo, i had not move her for three weeks so i know exactly what was the cause, barnackel and more barnackel, the lower unit and the prop was a real mess. i was only getting 7 miles pe gps , i law down on my dock and pull the prop off clean the lower unit as much i could get of, install the prop ang take it for a run again, this time it get up and go and at 3600 rpm without trimming up i was getting 22 miles per gps. so with a dirty bottom i think that not too bad. thanks for all the help
