As @NASCARonNBC reports on air ... #NASCAR erred in putting Jimmie Johnson in the back of the field for inspection issues. 48 failed inspection twice before race ... not 3 times, leads to team starting at rear.

The Twerp came back into the pits for a vibration after a green flag stop.

Joey stayed out when most took green flag stops. Finally came in 21 laps after Harvick peeled off for his stop.

Harvick wins the 2nd heat, too.

Joey was in 5th.

On the restart for the final heat - It's JOEY in front. He only took two tires.

Two tires only lasted for 4 laps when Keso passed Joey for the lead. Keso took 2 tires, too. :noidea:

So we have a yellow for Suarez, JOEY gets off pit road first and is poised to take the lead on the restart. Blaney is right beside him on the restart.

But Harvick gets to 2nd behind Joey. 102 laps to go.

Harvick complaining about a loose wheel takes the lead. Blaney, then Joey.

Less than 80 laps.

Keso and Truex have loose wheel/vibration issues and both pit. Truex drives through too many pit boxes and get a pass-thru penalty.

Starr brings out the yellow rag. triggering late pitstops.

Harvick Blaney Almirola Logano Bowman and Jones stay out under caution.
