Even though fishrdan had trouble with monel staples... I bought some at Lowe's ($16) They are working just fine. The stainless steel staples say "Not for Marine Applications" right on the box and are only "Rust Resistent" The monel staples say "For Marine Applications" and are "Rust Proof". The brand I bought is Arrow T-50. I have a cheap ACE Hardware stapler, so maybe it was the brand fishrdan was using that caused the problems?

They have "marine" grade stainless staples too. I know, because I bought them and paid about 3x the price of regular staples.
