Caney creek south to the Islands and west about anywhere in open water.
Big mineral from their marina, out past Cedar Mills has been some great surface action for some good size fish. Straight east of Cedar Mills ramp was HOT last week. Top-water and 5" Sassy Shads.

EDIT: Jet ski's are GONE!!!!!!

Oh, geez. Thats easy. Check out Texas Fishing Forums. Its a very active forum with lots of activity, and fresh info exchanged. I won't post the link as the forum moderator would probably get all upset, but you can find it easy enough with a google search.

Nate, Wherebouts in Texas you going? It's a pretty big place :) . What kind of fish you after? Latest reports from the texasfishingforum say sandies & hybrids are pretty hot at Cedar Creek & Richland Chambers. Friday I'll be at Cedar Creek (unless Walleyehed keeps talking about big stripers in Big Mineral creek). Week after that I got another bass trip to Toledo Bend.

Bob, nothing against the Tex. fish forum, but it's been about a week to 10 days behind in info posted. If it was posted yeterday, it's usually a few days behind, and most of us on that site tend to be a few days behind on purpose. :D

Last week, it was still somewhat darker than normal, but not so much as to stop, or affect the fishing greatly.
The rains were hard the last week of Oct. and again the first week of Nov. Lake came up about 6ft in 2-1/2 weeks, but has dropped back about 3ft.
I'll be back down on Sat thru Fri of next week, but I'm sure it's settled from what it was...it never really got "Muddy" though.

Re: Need a fishing report from Texas

I seem to be having trouble adding a new topic, so thought I would give it a try under reply. I live in Ontario & have a business trip in Feb to Houston, I to like information on bass fishing in that area. I would like to plan a few days vacations & take in some Texas fishing. But want to stay close to Houston for ease of travel.

We haven't been able to get out in Galveston Bay for the last two weeks but all our fishing buddies have been killin the specs and reds. I understand the pier/jetty fishing has been good also.
