Need advice on repairing hull of boat

Hello all,
I am new to this forum, but have seen a lot of knowledge on here so I am going to pose a question. I have a 1987 Cajun Fishin Machine and while trailering the other day before a storm, I was pushed up onto the trailer and hit the keel and put a hole into the boat. The hole is about the size of a pinky finger and went through the hull. I am not experienced with fixing fiberglass and am frankly embarrassed to take it some where to have it repaired. Can someone give me some advice on how to fix this? I would appreciate any and all help that you can give. Thanks again for your time and attention.

Hi John, I am new to gel coats and hull repairs, will be redoing mine at the end of the season, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people here who are helping me with my threads, just didn't want you to think no one was answering your post, just be patient, and they will come You came to the right place>>>Pat

If you can get to the damaged area from the inside it will be very easy, from the outside just a little more difficult. Let us know which it is.

I can get to the damaged area from the inside. It is not a clean hole on the inside but you can tell where it came through.

A Picture sure would be Nice....... If Not,...... How about the Thousand Words it'd be worth.....

Just to get an Idea of the scope of the issue.......
