My buddy has a 17" Hondo with a 1500 merc on it. S/N 3754077
It has no power trim and he would like to add this feature.
How much work is involved and where can we find a good used unit.

Thanks,

Dave

Not much at all..just the rams, pump, hoses, few wires. Replaces the stock rams. One just sold on Ebay (no pump though) for 265 big ones plus ship. With pump probably close to 5 biggies. Worth every dime on the Hondo..

Dave, The T-N-T unit is not a direct replacement for the stock shocks. The bottom mounts are common, but the top of the shock mount is where the T-N-T brackets bolt on. The top of the bracket is where the top of the trim cylinder bolts on. Four hoses run from the trim cylinders to the pum, which is installed in the boat. It is not hard to install and bleed, but you should get a manual since their are some details you will want to know. BTW, the T-N-T units from lots of 4/6 cylinder motors is common. Stick with motors in the 70'a and early 80's.
