BT that may have made it a little easier. All in all, I think it would be pain no matter how its done. Having excess/right tools is key, I think. In my situation anyway
I was able to get the ujoint bellows on with the clamp at the bottom of the boot. Slightly lifting the bellhousing upwards gave me room to tighten the clamp.
I used my hands to pull the boot over the flange. Wasn't terrible but wasn't easy. Once that boot grips on, even without the clamp tightened - its hard to get off. I skipped out on the adhesive, didn't want to scrub it off when I have remove it all again
Exhaust Bellows was the most difficult... It seemed nearly possible to pull it on to the bell-housing as it would flex backwards towards the transom when pulled forwards. Managed to shimmy it on with the bell-housing pressed downward against the boot and then used a flat had to push the sides onto the flange.
If had to do again it would be would 30X easier probably. I really don't see how it's an $800+ job at service centers. I guess I wont know though until It's on the lake. Should be good though
