need help 1988 125 force trim/tilt problem

i have 1988 bayliner capri with 125 force, after some trouble last year i replaced the cylinder in the trim and now the engine goes up but it does not want to go down. If i leave it for 30 minutes than the engine lowers it self. can any one please help me with this issue.
