Hi, I have a 1989 force 50hp outboard and the tag with model and serial numbers has been wiped clean, cannot make out any numbers. I need to order parts and need help. I want to replace the water pump impeller, plate, and the housing seal, also the boot for the shift rod where it enters the gear housing. I have pictures but have'nt figured out how to attach them, could use some help with that also.

I don't think any of the parts you need vary from model to model. on the flywheel the model number should be engraved on top of it. Hope this helped. For the pictures you press the clipboard button and at the other bottem side of the reply box there will be two boxes Upload Attachments and Upload from URL click the one you need. Hope this helped

You will have to go through boats dot net to see their diagrams and part numbers. The impeller part# for your motor is F433065-2 while the backplate is 435562 and the shaft seal F349307. Unfortunately, iboats only carries the later models impeller and not for you specific motor.

~~The boot for the shift rod????
No boot but usually a seal?????
All the 50 lower units used the same parts for the basic stuff.
Use this # ~~H0508M89B it will get you all the stuff you need.
