Need Help oil injection 225 Suzuki

Great Forum,, i have a 2000, 225 two stroke Suzuki,ran great last season,i started it at home,ran good, put it in water & it started smoking like crazy,stopped motor, then took it out to open water,ran for about 2 minutes the smoke dissapeared totally& the motor cut revs back to under 3000,water seemed to be circulating very well,i limped back to the docks ,seems No oil getting to motor now, what can i check?,im not a outboard mechanic,i bought this boat last season,the boat had sat thru a freezing winter, any help will be greatly appreciated,,,

when was the last oil filter change/cleaning? <br /> that oil pump is gravity fed. that 2 stroker is a smoker when cold, worse if it still had fogging oil in it.<br /> but the filter is also a "flow" alarm, if the filter clogs the suction from the pump closes the switch and sets the alarm.
