I talked to a few of you earlier. Looks like the insurance is only going to cover about $2500 of the ranger boat trailer. The trailer is totalled so I do need a new one. A new one runs around $4500 unless i can find a used 519vx single axle somewhere that is in mint condition. For not being my fault, it sure is a bunch of crap that I have to pull out of my pocket to pay for part of the trailer.
I adjuster also said that they might total the whole boat. The motor wasn't damaged but the hull needs alot of fiberglass work. Just some half dollar size holes underneath and scratches on the gelcoat.
Its a 2004 and she said if they scrap it , I will get a check for about 24 grand. I can only hope for this because who knows what else is wrong with the structure of the boat as well as the motor.
There is also the issue of my diesel chevy from the impact. Even though the truck wasn't hit, the hitch was destroyed, the bumper was bent, the tonno cover was destroyed, my dog got thrown up against the window, and the frame might be bent.
On top of that, I was recovering from a herniated disc and the jolt really messed it up along with my neck.
The worst thing is that all of my fishing poles flew off the boat and got broke. 4 of them are still missing in the corn field.
