Need help setting float level

I'm confused by my manual... I have a 07 4.3 Mercruiser carbureted model with a 2 bbl Mercarb (I think). Engine Ser.# OW 638393, family - 6M9XM04.32VC (don't know what that means). The Carb Id is... first line - 866141001 (the first letter may be a 3) second line 34-6306. These numbers do not match or come close to the Mercury manual... and the pictures don't exactly match up. My carb doesn't have choke plate or housing but does have a solenoid mounted to the top.

My question is what is the proper float level for this carb. The manual has a table that says 9/16 and float drop of 1-3/32... later in the section that describes the proper steps it says 11/32 and float drop of 15/16. Which if either is right?

Can anyone help?

Re: Need help setting float level

Thanks Don,

That's it I have the TKS carb system... I've got the float level adjusted. I've been having a problem with the engine cutting out while running and popped the top of the carb off to check for trash or water in the carb... So when putting the carb back together I wanted to insure that the float level was correct. No trash or water... on with the troubleshooting. These intermittent problems are the hardest to chase down aren't they!
