i have an 18 foot holiday with a 70 hp johnson outboard
i've been looking at anchor rollers and such and was wondering what type of anchoring systems you guys use.
i would love to see pics to get some ideas. i need to improve my setup as i am tired of walking out on the bow to drop and retrieve my anchor. not to mention that it doesn't hold too well but that is my fault for not having chain on the end.
i fish mostly muddy/rocky/weedy bottoms. right now i have a 20lb byers style anchor (kinda a danforth but chunky)
diy and homemade setups are really what i'm looking for because i do not like spending money if i don't have to.
i think i'm going to order a true danforth style anchor and definitely add about 10 foot of chain.
what i'm stuck on is drop/retrieval systems...ie rollers/locks and such. i don't want to have to crawl out on the bow everytime.
any ideas??
