Hello everyone I have a 17' Polar flats boat with a 7'5" beam and fish the gulf of Mexico shallow water. The boat is like a Carolina skiff with a flat bottom and I need a Trolling Motor. I need a bow mount 24 Volt with a foot control. I fish from a seat mounted in the front deck. The problem is I have Muscular Dystrophy and have good Calf muscle but my legs are weak. I need something "easy" to steer. They may all be easy as I have never owned a trolling motor. I would like to stay in the 400 dollar or lees range. So if anyone could recommend something that is easy to operate with a foot I can turn my foot left to right fine and press down OK at best. I just can't afford remote style. Also where is the best deal on One would it be here. Getting in and out of my chair is not easy for me so being able to "do it all" from my seat is important to me. Thank you before hand for your help. Last thing I will be about 4 feet away from the edge of the bow were the motor will be located.<br /><br />Terry
