I'm in the process of building a small river jet boat for fishing and I cant find the rpm specs for my pump.Anybody know how I can figure what speed I have to spin my pump for the best performance?

Re: Need Info on a Berkeley 6JC pump

I received this back from the company that owns Berkeley pumps now....."We do not support the 6j pump as it has not been produced in over 15 years. We have had the company for about 12 years and have never produced any parts for the 6j. I do know that you can run them to about 5500 rpm without issue and they are good to about 80 hp."

Anyone with parts for this unit out there? I'd like a spare impeller and other parts if possible.

Apon further research it appears 40hp with the aluminum impeller is ok, but with a stainless steel impeller 80hp is achievable.
