My wife and I thought it would be nice to have a bench seat for more seating. We have three kids and 1 on the way. Yea we have bin busy. We also have a lot of relatives.My qustion is what do you think about this seat. With it, we can seat 7 to 8. Without it 4 to 5. Now its not completed, still need padding , hinges, upolstery. Stay or go?

before you go adding seat space, you mite want to check the coast gaurd plate to see what the max load rating is for your boat.
example : 6 people 900lbs 8 people 1200lbs
(i think they still figure the average person at 150lbs) if thats the case iam above average
the plate should be by the helm some where. it will say so many people or so much weight

I checked that before I bought the boat and a max weight of around 1500 lbs. The bench actually weighs less than the origanil seat.

The seat will be nice, but that's a bunch of peeps for your little V6 to push especially that far aft. The seat weight isn't the issue, but capacity is. You'll be puttin and not planin'. :redface:

dockwrecker,Thank you, I have been waiting for someone to coment on what they think about the bench. Yes your right it is alot of peeps,Three to four adults,160 to 300 lbs and four to five kids,50 to 120 lbs. With that kind of cargo I wouldnt even try to go wot,puttin is a great word for it. For us (the wife and I) its just about having fun with the kids. Thank you again, glad you like it.

Fore is the forward part of a ship; aft is the after or rear part.
