need part for sea king

Hi, I have a 9.6 hp 1972 sea king that has a broken gear that spins when pull rope is pulled. It pops up and engages with flywheel. If anyone can tell me what it is called and where I might be able to get 1 I would be very appreaciative. If you need any more info let me know. Thanks

Those starter pinion gears are getting kind of hard to find. Just for your information, the motor was made by Chrysler (Force). Try http://www.laingsoutboards.com/ or www.sea-way.com and good luck.
