Re: need parts for 1953 12 hp seaking

That is a Gale 12D10 motor, I think the carb on that model was made before they started using standard OMC carbs, the carb on my 55 Seaking 12hp is the same as an Evinrude 15 hp but it is completely different. I have a diagram in my SeaKing/Gale factory service manual and I well try and remember to scan in the diagrams for you but I don't think a carb kit well be very easy to come by, what do you need for you carb?

That is a different carb than the standard omc.
Carbs on the 12S10 and 12D10 are the same but for some linkage which you allready have on your motor.
You can tap out your own gaskets useing a little ball pien hammer or a similar shaped form. I have used the protruding slide on a small crecent wrench,or the heal of an open end wrench. And I do have a tiny hammer too.
You might ask about parts at the antique outboard motor club
www.aomci.org.
