I am trying to find some info on an old outboard I just picked up from a friend. I do not know what year or horsepower but I am sure with the help of you guys I will, because I am going to need a new water pump and carb kit.

It is an Evinrude ser# 10022-04156

This motor will go on my duck boat as soon as I can get things figured out but I believe duck season will be over before that happens!
Thanks for all your help,
Rob

1961 10hp T2.....probably a double fuel line set up? Great little engines when ya get them tuned in.

Don't know the maint history on it, but ya' might want to check out the points and coils under the flywheel. They are still available if ya' need them.

You are right about that OBJ, I get up to go look at something and look again and there is my answer.

Thanks a lot fella's, is it hard to find parts for this little guy?
Checked compresion on it and that came out good, everything seems to be in order, but I do not know anything about the history on it but it is in very good condition for it's age, I actually was guessing around late 1960's.
Also the shift lever is broken off so I have to fix that as well.
Thanks again,
Rob

Lotta parts still available Rob. Trust me on this.....get the carb kit from a BRP dealership. Points, coils, condensers... as you wish.

Double fuel lines are still available as is the orings for the fuel connectors......which I would guard and protect at all costs....last time I priced these little connector jewels they ran near $60.

Make sure the tank is tight and holds pressure. Some part for the tank you can still get from BRP but going on line to TwinCity or SeaWay Marine may be better.
