Re: Need suggestions/help with hardwood flooring project.
Just a quick update.... The flooring should be here tomorrow. 28 boxes that I have to unload and haul to the house on my own.... Got the tractor fueled up and the small 4x4 foot yard trailer dug out of the snow and checked tire pressure, lubed the axles and hacked out the ice from the bed. Plan is to load the trailer from the truck down at the street, then haul it up to the house and unload into the garage and/or house (depending on how tired I get). That means about 4 or 5 trips. Its about 140 feet from the street to the garage door, and I don't feel like carrying these boxes one at a time.
If the temps drop down into the teens or below, the tractor battery just can't handle those temps. Hopefully it will be in the high 20's or better when the truck arrives tomorrow. If the tractor won't start, will get one of the boat batteries stored in the basement (fully charged) and a set of jumper cables and fire the old machine up.
DOH! Just checked the weather for tomorrow........ "Partly cloudy. High 28F. Winds WSW at 10 to 20 mph". Cold and windy. Going to suck working outside.
These boxes of flooring weigh about 60 lbs a piece. Any suggestions for off loading?
